OVERALL AIM OF THE PROJECT
AM I ELIGIBLE?
- Yes if you are over 18
- Yes if you have been unemployed and registered with Job Centre Plus for over 3 months
- Yes if you live in Merthyr Tydfil, RCT or Blaenau Gwent
WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF THE PROJECT?
- Support from specialist Employment & Training Officers who have a wealth of experience
- The opportunity to attend group sessions where peer group support will be encouraged
- Access to volunteering opportunities, work placements and paid employment
- In work coaching for new employees, if required
- Opportunity and encouragement to develop confidence levels, self-esteem and motivation
- Work preparation training, e.g. interview skills, application forms and CV writing
- Vocation skills training, e.g Health and Safety, First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Awareness
WHAT WILL IT INVOLVE
- 12 week Employability Skills Programme, 16 hours per week
- Better off in Work\' Calculations
- Individual support surrounding balancing work/life stress
- Employer engagement
- Possibility of work placements
SUPPORT
In addition to the above, MTIB can provide transport to and from the venue.
